I had a friend call and ask some questions. They want $300 to start with the face to face. You get no refills. So then you have to pay $200 every month for your script. You are on a month to month basis.

I would just go with consultsdirect and pay for the F2F visit and get three months worth of scripts for the same price. It may cost you a plane ticket, but you will save major cash in the long run.

Thank you nitemoon for posting this, I was seriously considering them for my F2F as it is within driving distance for me, but there is no way I'm paying 200 every month for f/u and refills, plus the cost of meds.

Dont forget we use local doctors, which is what the d.e.a. ultimately want, instead of hundreds of people flying into Florida clinics. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that model and i have nothing but great feedback about the Florida services but i would imagine that patients flying into clinics business model will be next on the d.e.a. hit list.
Our goal is to have local doctors for patients in most every state.
Local physician Local patient Local pharm

No red flags at pharms, No out-of-state scripts, No shipping delays

Any prescribed medication can be
Fax/Call-in to pharmacy
Fax/Call-in to any mail order pharm (walmart, medco, cvs)
Direct script via Fed-ex overnight
Direct script via Fed-ex C.o.D overnight

Our service may be more than a fly & buy service but please call customer service and talk to one of our outstanding Personal Assurance Rep.

I was interested in your service at first glance. I am trying to find a reliable doctor service after the RHA goes into effect, but seriously, 299$ - 1 visit one - fill? That's a rip. I'm sorry, I know demand it high, but as more services come online with each state, you'll be forced to lower that price and change your model.

Yes, we understand that we need a reliable service with doctors in our state. I realize that flying out of state for a prescription would raise a red flag, but once everyone starts up with doing this in each state, you should reconsider your pricing. It should be 1 F2F with script and 2 refills. I don't know of any doctor that would charge 300$ just to see him 1 time and come back every month paying 200$. Sounds insane.

It's kind of funny, but when you look at the other services some of them are $50 cheaper for the face to face but you have to fly to florida(which cost more than $50).
I think most people can do the math.

everyone have a great day ;\)

I dont have a dog in this fight but from what i have read the other OCS that is having people fly in gives two refills with the first visit and then they can to the phone consults every three months. That would probably end up being cheaper than being charged $299 every month with no refills right?

flying out of state once to see a doctor is not going to raise a red flag, either.

Actually it's $199 per month after the face to face for a local physician and local pharm unless you wanted one of our docs to call your Rx into a mail order pharm like walmart or medco(if you want meds to your door)
Flying out of state to see a doc wont raise a red flag, but i have to believe with all the effort and aggressiveness that the D.E.A. is putting forth that 100 people a week flying into a Florida clinic and the docs wrtiing Rx for patients out of state will raise a red flag.

There are many great services on drugbuyers.com and i have heard nothing bad about several of the services operating out of Florida. If you have a history with a service and are happy with them i suggest you stick with them until there is a problem. Dont fix whats not broken.....
but if you can't/don't want to fly please consider DoctorsOnDemand.com as an alternative. Our customer service staff is dedicated to making your experience with our doctors excellent.

Now that the Florida Clinic and Dr Garcia no longer prescribe narcotics and have switched to a new synthetic injectable medication.
I think this changes everything such as making any OCS offering a F2F and prescribing pain relieving narcotics will be my choice to check out.
I live in Texas and no red flag would fly as long as my prescribing Dr was from Texas and that could be said for every state in the union.
Good luck to all CP patients as things are changing almost daily now
Costs: yes it's going to be higher than we have ever paid but as the number of OCS offering F2F grows and the number of states serviced the prices will fall. Simple economics of supply and demand

Then there is the Possibility of doing a F2F & getting your 2 refills .....Then at reconsult time .....The doc is no longer with that OCS due to Quiting or having a visit from the Alphabets!.....Then what? ....Now you have to go do another F2F with a New Doc? .....Sounds to me like this Model is going Down the Tubes! Ok, so I would pay $299 up front to see the doctor and get my first RX. Then, EVERY month, I have to pay $200 to get a refill called in?

I realize that DoD can't "guarantee" that the doctor would write any prescription but is there a chance that after paying $299 to see the doctor, a person could end up walking out with a RX for Tramadol or maybe even end up with no prescription? It seems that the doctors must be aware of why people are using services like this and I would hope that when DoD signs them on it is with some understanding that the doctor will prescribe controlled meds.

Yes, i would assume that most every doc knows that most of the patients suffer from chronic pain and what type of meds the patients have been taking.

Has anyone gone to the doctor in Birmingham? I would like to know your experience. I could drive there in an afternoon so it may be an alternative for me in Louisiana.
Thanks

I just realized that I have a friend in Austin that I could stay with and also fly there or drive to Dallas.

Has anyone been to any of the Texas doctors yet?

We are still doing tele-consults right now. The deadline is getting close.............
Yes you need records.
Most patients seem to be getting Hydrocodone, xanax, viagra, etc...
Obviously what meds are prescribed are determined by your medical records and what the doctor thinks.

We are doing tele-consults upto April 11, 2009
After that FACE TO FACE
call now and setup an appointment for a local physician!

So, let me get this straight:

299 for first visit with 1 script fill.

every month I have to call your business to get another refill every month? How long can I go without getting charged another 299$ doc visit?

And do we have to play the game with dealing with online pharmacies or do we have the option to have these scripts filled at cvs, walmart, etc ?

I called this place.
I was told you have to have proof you live in the state the Dr. is in to get a consult. So flying to them out of state is not an option.
I even said I was on a border and could refill after the face to face in that state and I was still told no, you have to show proof of residency.
I PM'd James on the VIP side and he read it and didn't say the information I got was wrong or reply. They do have a quite a bit of states listed so some people will be able to use them.
Before you book a flight I would double check with them. Mabye this rule only was for the IL and PA Dr but that's not what was being said.
