Nothing was shipped, looks like money order arrived on day of bust, customs seized everything within 100 feet of fillinghealthy, so now customs has my money order and fillinghealthy gone so what would happen if customs tries to cash a confiscated money order with a stop payment on it?

Money order was for $300.

if they cashed it you arent going to get your money back, if they didnt you would need to tell the mg agent that the reciever was was unable to pick it up the funds for some unknown reason and the store e.g. walmart would refund your money.

After reading about the bust, and never getting replies from my emails, I checked to see if my money order had been cashed. It had been about 3 weeks since I had sent it, and it had not been cashed. I filled out the paperwork to receive a refund...took about 3 weeks and I got a refund check from MG. Now I've received this LL about the money order they have seized. Will they try to cash it, find out it is no longer good and come after me for the $$? I'm almost wishing I hadn't bothered to get the refund.

Personally I wouldn't worry too much over it. I would break all contact with them and I probably would use a different addy to receive from now on.

I've personally received 2 LL's, and simply rolled my eyes, and chuckled to myself thinking of the absurdity of the whole proposition: calling them to suggest it's valid, or legal. or just writing it off. like I"m going to go down to wherever my meds are and slam my fist on the table demanding they give me what I PAID FOR!! friggin idiots. Just the money they spend on sending out these idiotic letters could do some good somewhere. as for worrying about "what's going to happen to me?" nothing, simply nothing at all. don't even give it a second thought. when I get 10, I'll still be ordering exactly the same way I do now. (even if it's from a jail cell).

Hello , I,ve been reading this board and the forums for some time now and want to thank everyone who has helped me to find the medications I need. Also when you get an LL and you dont have a scanner what do you do to prove your order really was seized? I dont think I want to take it to kinkos and have them scan and send it? Tanks for any advise.

Who are you trying to prove it to? Why? Do you know anyone that has a job in an office? Maybe you can get some help there.

Jennysmom - as O & W stated (quite concisely) I don't think you have to do anything. And, in fact, if it was me, I WOULD'T do anything. They send the letter and, basically, you lose the order. So let it go. It's gone.

Yup, I agree, it's gone, it happens. Just probably throw the letter in the bin tbh.

a lot of people have said what i'm about to say, but it never hurts to reiterate...so i'm bumping this up for people to remind them.

just FYI, this is info from someone who's been ordering from US and overseas since the late 1990's through today.

ignore any LLs. don't try to get the money back (unless you are sure it can't be traced). i have received over 10 LLs over the years from multiple places, and the gov't would be able to find out who i am quite quickly due to my work if they wanted to.

i never respond (throw them out, actually), never try to get my money back - and have never had a problem with the gov't. in fact, reships have always reached me (when i've been sent a reshipment), which proves to me i am not a) on a watch list or b) LLs are simply random - a lot of mail is processed in the US.

note: my overseas orders are 90% benzos; the other 10% is low-dose codeine. this doesn't help pain patients much, i realize - just giving my experience. i suspect that my overseas stuff is class IV at most. benzos are class IV; codeine w/tylenol from our friends in new zealand seems to be class V per wiki:



since the amount in the NZ tablets are low dose, i believe they qualify for V - in any case, not III (as in tylenol #3).

just some advice from someone who's been doing this quite a long time and received a LL in the last 6 months from our favorite new zealand pain relievers (if you use codeine).

it's scary to receive LLs - i know - but if you're careful with the amount and how often you order, i believe you're just fine. at least, my experience seems to bear that out. my first LL was in the 1990's.

anyway...just FYI, i'll bump this again because it can never hurt....

safest thing if you get the dreaded letter is *nothing*. trash it. ignore, do not respond. do not make yourself obvious by complaining to WU, for example. WU has been very cooperative with LE.

if you choose to ask for a reshipment from the place you ordered from...i'd say it's a bit risky; up to you.

is letter from FDA the same as LL?

I got FDA confiscation letter - took about 10 days from entry into country. Also - on a seperate instance what are the odds over LL getting serious about a couple pain meds? Wondering the risks....

The FDA confiscations are generally different than the customs confiscations. Customs can confiscate, send a LL, and that is that. Pretty black and white.

I have read of instances where customs got ahold of something, either didn't know what it was, or wanted a second opinion, sent it to the FDA, and it would get inspected and either sent on it's way, or confiscated.

Customs seems to confiscate on the vasis of "this is illegal, we can confiscate it".

FDA can confiscate a validly ordered prescription med, or herbal supplements and vitamins, based on what is allowed in the country for what use,

FDA also confiscates based on if the company that manufactured the product is on a watch list because they sell products that the FDA feels are dangerous, i.e. insulin that does not meet U.S. standards.

In all the searches I have done on this, folks who only order small amounts of pain meds etc do not get prosecuted. Only those who try to bring in stupid amounts.

Also, NEVER sign and return the LL. NEVER!

As far as "does my name and address go on a watch list?". I have read a post by a lawyer that says, under rare circumstances, yes. Again, trying to bring in large amounts. Otherwise, no.

And sometimes it is as simple as who processed the seizure and or what form they grabbed.

They have been resealing packages with a bright green HLS(home land security) tape, meaning your package was opened and resealed after inspection. If you see this tape on your package you can pretty much kiss your products and cash goodbye unless ray charles is inspecting your parcel.

I believe honestly customs effectiveness is by random checks and by "smart" agents. I believe these people are like jerk cops, theres little cases/incidences where they'll let packages slide through or claim "no big deal" then theres Jim "ill kick your arse" smith who's filing reports and letters over some scrub that bought 20 benzo's. There's bigger fish to fry but theres always the one guy who's frying guppies and minnows.

It's really a toss up. Cause honestly If one person got busted ordering from a certain place, How easy would it to be to gather intel and post a bulletin saying, all items from this loc. with this and this marking....hold them aside for a bulk inspection and investigation?

Or is it that out of the question and theres only 1-2 people playing duck duck goose with 1000's of packages being sent in and out? Doesn't make sense....

Yea ain't it... I can walk into wal-mart and buy a gun, ammo, and enough liquor to forget i was ever there, but can't buy my prescription online because i don't have insurance and need to save money...
