If there is anyone who could guide me to an understanding pain management doc in PA. I have a screwed up knee cap and my current doctor told me to stay on my crutches for the pain, Thats rite i said crutches, no meds at all. i work with my hands all day and stand on my feet but he doesnt want to hear that...im so tired of docs treatin us like drug addicts...i simply want to live a normal day with out pain...
i am also looking for a doctor in PA. I am pretty close to Hermitage so I would be interested in that doc or any F2F service in the area. But I don't know how to go about it! How do I explain what happened with my previous doc? (he was busted)
Thank you so much! It just so happens I have to see my regular GP next week for all my other problems and also to discuss my new diagnosis of pernicious anemia. I could simply ask to be referred to this guy then? Pernicious anemia causes all kinds of neurological problems and chronic pain due to demyelination (at least when it gets this far down the road). Funny thing is all these years I have been hobbling around with doctors only finding clues like nerve damage and back problems but they never did find WHY.
Do I tell my doc "I have done some research and would like to be referred to so and so" or do I just say "i need to be referred and leave it at that?

Well I was gonna ask u if u were in the UK I know someone there on yahoo that referrs to him as "cripplewithagun" but now seeing ur from PA I guess I answered my own question. If u feel that u could better urself and ur pain by seeing another Dr then ask for a referral, maybe that will get the lead out of his arse and do something to lessen ur pain. This is something that only u can answer mate. take care..
Could anyone tell me about the pain management doctor in Reading, PA? I am losing my OCS, and could use some help and information!! Thanks a bunch to all! LisaSJP
I live in southeastern PA and have a decent PM doc. I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say or not on this site. He's in Malvern, PA, Chester County. Let me know if I'm allowed to post a name. I'll check back.
I live in Mi , When I was looking for my pain Dr.In my area I did a google. and came up with a list of Dr. In a acceptable distance from me. Then did some research , made phone calls. Maybe do a meet and great.

Sometimes if a name is posted on the site, the doctor is flooded w/requests or w/investigations. It's not so much what is allowed; it is more what is prudent.
This site is to share information though so some folks may disagree w/me. Sometimes PMs to folks you know or believe in, are the way to go.

I am looking for a good pain management place in Northeast Pa Near Scranton or Tunkhannock. I do have a prescribing doc but cant adjust my meds more. I am suffering and scared to go to this place because of the way Dr's look at everyone. Any help would be appreciated. rebekkah1436@yahoo.com
If you have a Doctpr that is prescribing now and you go to another. Most states have script monitiring systems that would flag you as a Doctor shopper. Be Careful.
