In reference to board member "pixie" . There is a online pharmacy called "drugstore.com". Any licensed physician in the United states can send/fax over your prescription, and they in turn will ship you your medication. This is perfectly legal, and completely complies with the RHA law. As long as you see a doctor, and are examined, you can have your prescription filled by an online pharmacy, as long as the pharmacy is compliant to all hippa and RHA laws. If you go to "the drugstore.com" website, you can read all about the laws pertaining to mail order pharmacys. The Feds wanted to get the OCS company's that were using Doctors that did not see the patient face to face for an exam. The pharmacy's chose not to be affiliated with these company's for obvious reasons by the time the new RHA law went into effect. Again, as of now, there is no law against an online pharm shipping you medication as long as your doctor is licensed and has seen you at least once a year. In some cases, its every three months, which is B.S. if you ask me. Be glad that Bush isn't in office any more. Things hopefully will loosen up a little in the coming months.........hopefully.

As far as getting a direct script sent to you, that opens up a whole other beehive with pharmacies confiscating your Rx and/or refusing to fill it. I won't go that route.

Chopper...thanks for bringing that up. I was going to post about Apty a while back but I thought since they may not understand the Rules yet, I would be kind. But Apty has become annoying with these posts. So I hope they keep their posts in their own thread. L8night.... I agree with you on all you said about 1stChoice. I had a very good F2F with my Dr. and Rick had helped me with a lot of anxiety along the way. So if any members are located in their states, I would look into having your F2F with them. I give them 5 Stars!

Buyer beware about first choice meds. Firm was running ok at first but I can say from experience there Indiana Dr has left patience hanging when there first refill was due to hit. Dr was not around, had to wait 3 weeks to get an answer from the Dr of there where abouts. Rick was around with basic information, sometimes a little spotty at best, etc. I felt excuses where being made about the DR, and why folks dont have there medication. Told Rick I never have had any F2F run like this, the Dr usually writes refills on the script. This Dr did not, so the refills have to come in on time or you will be SOL. Finally 3 weeks later a hard copy script arrives, not a tele-fill, and the script might of well been wrote to john doe because the quanity amount was off by 60. and the how and when to take was reduced to from QID to TID.....JOKE. Not sure about any other Dr they have but you have been for warned about the Indiana DR...also when asked for 1st choice to make it right on billing, no full or partial refund was offered, and to further slap in the face, the script above was even charged full price after they knew it was 100% wrong in every way. Would have stayed with them, if they werent about the bottom line dollar and more to customer service. Dont want to pay 275 for the F2F for NO refills on paper, and then to have the Dr awol for 3 weeks only to get half medication script and to be charge full price for it. Lastly the note with the script read, from the DR, we are done, good luck finding new health care. LOL 2 cents worth.

We are not closed our website is down for repairs today 8/25/09. Our Indiana Doctor moved which was and is not returning emails/phone calls form any companies. We have removed her from our company. We have no control over quantity of medication prescribed. The Indiana Doctor never prescribed with refills per her Rules. We offered all patients (Including Ul4life) to transfer to one of our other physician at the price of the reconsult fees $99. Which they would have had to pay anyway. We are committed to extra mile customer service. We have other patients with the Indiana Doctor and all understand that the situation is out of our control. If you have any questions please call us at 954-903-0656 or email: support@1stchoicemeds.com Thank you, Rick

The above is an email reply I got from Rick when I asked him if they were closed. It seems a reasonable explanation and as I had posted previously, I had a very good F2F experience and hope to continue with 1stChoicemeds. Hope this answers any questions.

It seems a reasonable explanation and as I had posted previously, I had a very good F2F experience and hope to continue with 1stChoicemeds. Hope this answers any questions. All I can do is speak on my experience, my goal is only to warn folks of a problem before they spend there money on something that isnt what they have been used to. If the Indiana DR didnt offer refill per her Rules, then had I known this up front I would have looked else where, or fly elsewhere. Lastly when she "half" committed her 1 refill to me, I was charged full 100% price, which again isnt great customer service and that isnt going the extra mile Rick. The right thing to do was to tell her not to even issue the script if she didnt know who or what amount she had wrote previously. When myself and other patients were do a refill, and we ALL had to wait 3 weeks for you to even track down the DR, that should have been a red flag right there to cut your losses and try not to lose more clients over it. Again I am open to dialog before the end of the week Rick, but if you think myself or any other tele-med is comfortable spending $375.00 only to recieve a script with ZERO refills on it, is going to be ok, then you are sadly mistaken. I have to recoupe some funds here or your company has to right this wrong by this DR. Thanks. UL

I have left a message for you to discuss reconciling this matter. We have offered a refund already. We also offered to send you to another Doctor without charging the F2F fee. Which is beyond our terms agreement. I would rather work this out one on one rather than in the forum. Please call the office tomorrow and we will reconcile this matter. I trust you will post the results as well on the forum. I don't think you understand our system, we charge the same F2F price for all initial visits. The charges are different for follow-ups depending on refills or not. This is the only fair way we know to do things. We have no control over prescribing habits of Doctors per refills and quantities of medication. We make this clear in our terms agreement. All of these things are explained when you register. Also we have no control when a Doctor will move to another city and chooses to not return messages. We look forward to working this out and continuing to serve your needs to the best of our ability. We want ot preserve our good customer service reputation and that is why we are working so hard to resolve our only negative post. Thank you, Rick 1st Choice Inc. I will respond via phone or email, I would rather of course see this all work out rather then have a bad experience ruin it for good with you guys. Thanks. DT.

sn3....Yes Rick is still there. He can answer your questions quickly by emails. I had my f2f in July and had 2 refills with my Rx. My 1st 90 day teleconsult will be due the 1st part of Oct. I am hoping this goes well also. I will post when the time arrives as to how it went. So far they are an excellent company. Ahh, yes. I have only heard good thing about these guys and I am very carefull now in who I go with.I did send a email to them but I have not gotten a reply, I think its due to thier website problem because when i sent it it gives me a erro and then says its sent. Weird. Sn3, While waitn opinion of 1stchoice is from his own experience, I can say I am still working with Rick for a positive outcome. I do think that will be achieved, however this is just an update. Waitin I am glad you got a F2F with actual refills on script, most of these (new service outfits) are crooks wanting to do monthly refills called in for a large fee. I will say Ricks service is better and honest than most of the bottom feeders who want that guaranteed money each month. UL Ok, im going to cross my fingers and give this company a shot. Thxs guys .

Good post Pod and Dharma and thanks for the support. 1stchoice of course is trying to find me a new Dr. but it's no consolation to be left cold at the last minute. It only creates more stress for the patient. I was told they knew that the Dr. had some issues around thanksgiving. Had I been alerted at the beginning of the month that there was a looming problem that would affect my health, I could have properly prepared myself. Yes it's not just 1stchoice that has done this. Many other memebers have had to suffer the same fate from other OCSs. I will admit I have been with them since July and the program worked very well for me and they were super. But I just want everyone to be aware that the bottom could fall out at any time and you should always be prepared when it comes time for your renewal. You might want to try and talk with your OCS a month before to make sure your Dr. is still available. Not a Happy New Year message for me. I will keep you posted on how things work out.
