Hello there I am thinking of ordering Tramadol( Ultram) from Friendly Clinic, I had a hystrectomy recently and am out of pain meds. (I took them as directed I just did't receive many- and now they want me to take alleve or ibuprofen.) Since this is not a Class 2 drug, is it illegal to ask without a prescription? I am in TN I hear this is fairly not habit forming and I was prescribed it once for a spastic colon and Interstitial cystisis. It seems to work better than Lortab, which frankly, I'm sick of lortab anyway and am looking for an alternative. Would love some advice. I've been dealing with pain for a decade from endometriosis, fibroids, adenomyosis, etc. Hence the hysteretomy at 41. I just need stomethig for flare-ups. thanks so much. My understanding (could be wrong) is that since Ultram is not a controlled substance, it is not illegal to purchase it over the internet. Friendly clinic does have a doctor write you a script based on your questionnaire answers. Also, since Ultram is not controlled, you could perhaps get your GYN docs to prescribe it. Just tell them (after a few days or whatever) that the advil or the aleve is not controlling your pain. You could even mention Ultram, as you have been scripted it in the past. They would probably be relieved that you are not asking for hydro. Feel for you sister. I have had similar issues to yours and am still fighting going the hyster route for personal (paranoid) reasons. Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong. Don't want to steer this fellow pain sufferer wrong. Edited to add: Be careful though and read up. If you take certain kinds of anti-depressants or are seizure prone for any reason, Ultram can be dangerous.
