Here's the scoop. Went well (over all). Very nice Dr. I had good records so pretty much gave me my request (#120). Didn't know though that he has to fax script to pharmacy in Florida. A little disappointed on that one. So now I'm trying to get info on how they are shipping etc. so I get it to the correct address. So have to wait till tomorrow to call someone. I have to request a phone consult every month for refills. Ya, gonna get a little pricey.
I am afraid that will be a common theme in many states. Certainly seems to be for Washington and Oregon. Most people think that they are liberal. That is true of the general population, but not of the Medical Boards that scrutinize the docs.
Having lived here for five years now, I'm more inclined to say that Washington likes to "play" liberal. Sure, there are a few things that you can point to like the voter passed Seattle initiative to make marijuana usage in a private residence a low priority, but we're faaaaaar from progressive outside of that. Substances from alcohol on up are fairly tightly controlled. Trying to get a legitimate prescription for benzos or pain relievers through most state or community health clinics is difficult and if you do get em, they'll be watching how fast you go through em like a hawk since you're just a step away from being a junkie in their eyes. Also, while we have a medical marijuana law, it's very restrivctive. Oregon and Washington are on the moderate side of conservatism with pockets of hippies.
Yea - Agree with the above posters. I live in South Seattle and was very very fortunate to find a doc that would prescribe. Everything is tighly regulated. Im really starting to get jealous of Florida. lol, also I think marajuana is easier to get than pain pills and if caught with marajuna you would just get a citation - if your caught with some pills you might get book'd.
I just moved to the area and boy are they sticklers! I tried getting my acne antibiotic Tetracycline and they refused to do that! I have to go and see a Dermatologist, where before I didnt have to pay to do that. I know that my sister in Oregon gets whatever she wants/needs. I am wondering if it is just Washington. I got a job here and it is no wonder why so many people smoke Marijuana here, it is because they cannot get relieve elsewhere.

Ive lived in WA for about 11yrs and its almost impossible to find a pain management dr. Once you say you have chronic pain and even have records to back it up they automatically think "drug seeker" I never go to er's for my back pain, Last year I went 2x for my chf and that was it.
