For future reference, you paid $1.50 each for what was basically a generic Darvocet (Neo-Percodan) which you could have bought for $1 in the US. They are still being sold to gullibe gringos in border towns throughout Mexico. At the same time, there is a process ongoing at the FDA to take propoxyphene off the market here because of its almost complete lack of pain control efficacy compared to its negative profile involving overdose statistics. Neo-Percodan is an inside joke the Mexican pharmacies have been playing on Americans for many years.

Thanks martind I don't disagree with you at all. They certainly weren't oxycodone. But as one with pain will quickly attest to, you take what you can get and sometimes pay too much for em. I was merely answering the thread ??? Because that is all they had when I was there. I truly don't know 100% what they were. I don't think they wanted you to know. I do know the OC 80's here are $35 and I certainly cannot afford to take them everyday. So enduring a herniated disk atm I have some ice to help and that's bout it, would love to have some of those neo-perco/darvo whatevers.... LOL

Injections are synonymous with effective healthcare in Mexico (outside of the major tourist hotspots, anyway). Syringes are sold over the counter and pharmacies have no qualms whatsoever about sending you back to the hotel with ampoules of injectables. I wish that US doctors could manage such effective pain treatment.

Helps a lot if you speak Spanish.
A caveat about this medication: if you are regularly taking another opiate-based pain med, Nalbuphine can and will knock you into precipitated withdrawals. IOW, if you have a tolerance to pain meds and are given this injectable, look forward to a brutal several hours of wishing you were dead.
