I ended up giving up the money. It was me that was holding out. He works, I'm a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom) and I think whatever little pittance I get and stash away should be mine. But he get's weeks off here and there and can draw unemployment. Now here is why I'm such a hold out:

We have an idiot tenant (admittedly I never met him personally, but I'll be going over there, soon...) that is over $1000 behind on rent. It's not like we're rich, but we do have some properties that supposed pays for itself. There's some story (I don't quite get) about him being tribal Indian and getting money every month but he can't get it directly cuz he's too young. If his mom gets it she gambles it, the sister that does get is in Mexico with her deported boyfriend, and the other sister (that should get his money until he is of age) lives right next door in the other side of the duplex!!! pissedoff WTH?!

I handle all the money. My DH likes it that way.

We have never had a fight about money.

I cannot stand a cheap man. I am not a spender but if I wanted to buy myself anything at all it would be fine with DH.

We had rentals at one time and I hated it. The family would take an extended vacation and then say they did not have the rent money.
It is very stressful.

Where is Lo? There is no off topic here. Life has been tough for her.

I know many of us are struggling. My sister and her husband went to Reno for their anniversary and they said it was like a ghost town and now they put in penny slot machines.

Once I'm healthy enough (if ever) I'll be taking over finances. And this Mama don't play! I told him to evict months ago. But I don't know if we're done having babies, and morning sickness and all that. Might take until menopause to be able to do so. We're for sure adopting. Starting process next summer for China and USA.

Hey peoples,

I'm back on the board. I live in the Northeast which is the most repressive environment for pain care. Darn pilgrims. I noticed that the further down the I-95 corridor you go, the better the OCS coverage and availability of docs. How is everyone making out post Ryan Act?

I was looking forward to sushi for lunch. Then remembered, I had eaten at McDonald’s not 30 minutes ago. Now, of course, in this situation the first thought that came to mind was, if I were to simply purge the McDonald’s meal from my gut, I would then be able to enjoy a nice, serene, Japanese style lunch. Low in calories, high in vitamins, generally, I saw no down side to this. What to do, what to do…

So, I went to the lav, and girded myself, and found that while the greasy McBurger may have slid down my throat easily enough, getting rid of it was another matter altogether. I felt like the snake who, having swallowed the large, tasty, rodent, came across a second, tastier, rodent, and while wishing to be able to partake of this even more delicious repast, was unable to due to having a large furry knot the size of a small basketball lodged firmly in one’s stomach, which no amount of effort could, bring to the fore, so to speak…

Wishing to be prepared for this eventuality in future, I put it to you, what would be the proper way to prepare for this happenstance should it occur (and it will…) again?

a) I always carry some epicac (purchased from an IOP I am on topic!) just in case…

b) Given time and practice, one will eventually be able to expel anything…

c) McDonald’s AND sushi is a nice combination, go for it...

d) You know, Starlitemeds does sell some nice Ritalin…

e) The operator heard a gunshot, then the man came back on the phone and said “OK, now what?”.

Oh, and Musician? Your DH does not like you handling the money. He told me this himself, and said he was sick of it, and he dares you to do anything about it.

Now, as for me, the wife is more than wlecome to do whatever her little heart desires with the cash. And it does, and she does. And I don't care. No, really, I don't. Stop looking at me like that. And, no I DID NOT roll my eyes at you. Hey, where are you going? Get back here! Well, tell your Mom "Hi!" from me...

You're telling me! Couple of years back, I managed to slip on some ice at Inman Square in Cambridge, and went to the hospital. Broke my (scientific word for that one bone that goes from your wrist to your elbow, no, not that one, the one on the inside) Guy gave me like 8 vicodin. Oh, and a cast.

So, went to Grendel's Den for the Mussels in broth (with crusty French bread). Where was I? oh yeah, so, I took all the vicodin, and they wouldn't give me anymore.

Lunch was good though. They have like twelve different drafts there. And a fireplace.

I was watching you through your window Groucho and your wife was hitting you with a stick. rofl5

There is a story about my DH and why I handle the money. DH was in charge and we kept getting those little notices " Your check has bounced you have insufficient funds." Of course the bank kept making errors. It was never him. That is until I started paying the bills. If I get mad at DH which is not very often I threaten to make him handle the money and he begs me NO NO Please not that. rofl5

I have banking on line and I ask him to see what I am doing and he runs away fast. speechless1

That is one of the weirdest darn posts I've ever seen. Could be because I'm sick, but WTH?

That being said, I was shocked to go to my local pharmacy and learn they don't carry syrup of ipecac. Used to be a must have in medicine box.

I just wanted to say hello to all the posters on here. This website has a perplexing amount of info when you read it all. I can’t believe I just ran across this seeing as I like the social side of these sites also. Anyways, this might have been about the best hour or so reading all the back pages…

I wish I had the time to check everything out; because you pointed it out I will make my way there. I hope no one takes this wrong with a high post count; but, I just don’t have the time to be as active…I wish I did. However, this site is a wonderful tool for finding great info and a bunch of really nice people...It so hard these days, especially with some sites to find people who won't post anything but viral nonsense that doesn't really help anyone. I do have a question if anyone can help me. Is there a section to this site where others have posted there most awkward/scary/etc etc situation they ever had been through while ordering meds? Anyways, thanks Khilee, and of course everyone else!

Hi Charles, I have been reading your posts in the political thread and found them quite interesting. Lots of us have lots of time to post because we are disabled (not me) and not able to get out and do much.

I don't know why I have so much time. I am a stay at home mom w/one daughter who is in school, and so I do have a good amount of free time. I did work full time for 18 years so I feel like I deserve it!

Anyway, there is no forum about what you mentioned. I think it would make a good thread if you are inclined to start one.

And does anyone know WHERE STACY IS? I was hoping she would back after Thanksgiving. I miss her.

Sincerely,

Meon

Well, there was that guy a few weeks back who ordered meds, then cancelled his western union money order, then went to Fed-Ex and put a trace on the meds he had stopped payment on. Couple days after that he posted how the PD were at his place of work (where he had had the meds sent to) talking to his boss. Didn't hear anything else from him after that, too bad, seemed like a smart guy...
