The USA, Gallup, CNN polls tend to be more "slanted" to the left.

You forgot the Washington Post-Times poll which recently showed Obama with more positive ratings; hey I've got an idea, why don't we only count polls taken exclusively in the South, yeah that's the ticket! Then we will only have a right-wing "slant" in polling, in fact, come to think of it, each side can just cherry pick the polls and claim those that favor their ideology as "true."

With Rambo Rahm and his scorched earth policy with Fox and Anita Dumb and her love of Mao we have an "ugly" White House. I told whitehouse.gov that they were going too far. I suggest people tell them and/or your congress people what you think. We are at a very dangerous point in our history. Let's agree, please, to avoid both Fox and The Huffington Post as sources. We might make great strides with that one conciliation. That's a majorly biased source for each of us to discard.

And I'd also suggest no blogs without investigation of what they're reporting. Things would get down to the nuts and bolts quickly that way, and this forum would be far less boring than it's become as of late.

Yes, I have been amazed at the networks banging away on Obama. They seem to have lost their appetite for liberal politics since the economy is also tanking and taking their jobs, homes, and futures with it.

Less than one year in Office...Reagan was three years into his first term before the economy started turning around (and let me guess eluded, you weren't squawking about failure then were you because you had that right-wing hard-on for old Ronnie that still clouds the memory of how long it took to turn the economy around then), but you right-wingers are already declaring Obama a failure, that is rich after the electorate, fueled by the True Believers on the radical right, gave George "FUBAR" Bush 8 years to do what he did (Start a War based on Ideology, give tax cuts that this country couldn't afford, etc.) Before this sinking ship turns around Obama has the Herculean job of fixing the failures of FUBAR.

I was talking about the Rahm Emmanuel idea of trying to demonize Fox News and the other networks simply not going along 100%, not about the economy and war(s).

Obama is quite literate and is the first president to have written his own speeches since JFK. To tout what is obviously untrue undermines your own message.

Whoa, I think you are both off. Obama has speechwriters. So did JFK. Are you gonna tell me next that JFK wrote "Profiles in Courage" (and not Ted Sorensen?). Actually, Obama's biggest strength, so far, has been his almost continual campaign mode. He is very good at making speeches and convincing people using his passion. His oratorical skill and likeability factor are key. But it looks like those qualities are not going to be enough to get unemployment down. Like any administration, the economy will be the tale of the tape. If it goes over 10% this year it is going to hurt him and his party.

Obama has speech writers, yes, but he's written many of his own speeches, ie, the one on race when everyone was squealing about how black folks would take to the street and knife us in our beds if he won due to Wright.

I can blame the current mess on Bush since he has been out of office for only a year (nearly), and the Country is still feeling the effects of his bad public policy...at the end of Obama's first term a fair assessment can be made of his performance, but certainly not now.

As for the FOX issue, I think that Obama made a mistake stating what is obvious to all rational Cable viewers: FOX is biased, and not "balanced." Being a man of reason, Obama may foolishly have thought that he could somehow reach people who don't realize this salient fact, but clearly the people who watch FOX do so precisely because of the bias, and nothing Obama could say would change their devotion to FOX.

I for one am going to stop pointing fingers and blaming Bush or this person or whoever. He is now the freaking Prez...what has he done??? All I ever heard ever was his chanting about Change..well he needs to do something..and lets stop blaming BUSH..he is gone...Obama talks a good talk but charisma can only get you so far!!!
