Elavil: nothing Rozerem: I believe this to be nothing but glorified melatonin. It's a joke. Ambien: eh. sometimes. Restoril: nothing K-pins: on an empty stomach, maybe 4mg will make me alright Valium: sometimes Bromazepam: KICKED MY A$$! I'd sleep on this stuff for sure if I was sleeping for two days! Midazolam: Didn't do much at 7.5mg. I was too scared to take the full 15mg. Soma: I will not take these. I had a bad problem with them back in 2000 and have sworn myself off them. They make me feel TOO good. I'm off muscle relaxers (and believe me, FM doctors ALWAYS want to give them to you!) Calms Forte: I take this as a mild nerve tonic when I have no benzos or don't really need them, just need to take the edge off. They are completely homeopathic and are nice for just a bit of relief from every day stress. Melatonin: Worked years ago, doesn't work now. Sleep MD: waste of money. Trazodone: LOVE IT. Cannot take it because of the supreme daytime drowsiness. But damn if it doesn't knock my [censored] out all night. Zopiclone: This one is strange. The taste is terrible and even my listerine doesn't make it go away. What's worse is that I sleep in a limbo on it, not quite asleep, not quite awake. Weirder than that, my husband says it has been making me moan in my sleep. I don't understand THAT at all. I cannot take Benadryl or Seroquel due to akathesia-type reactions to both of them. Right now, the best thing for sleeping for me is: - eye mask - earplugs, occassionally - self-hypnosis for falling asleep and becoming relaxed - a benzo of some sort, most of the time - calming aromatherapy oils - right now, the lunesta but I'm done with my samples after tonight and not real sure if I'm going to go with more. See what my Dr. and my psych. say next week.

ambien - woke up in candy wrappers and clueless about the entire previous night. thank god i never got in my car and drove! lunesta - gross taste, only worked on an empty stomache. trazadone - hangover the next day. serroquel - weight gain!! sonata - too short-acting, mabey good for daytime naps? restoril - comparable to valium, had to take alot. halcion - nothing. tylenol pm - too tired the next day. Soma/zanaflex - worked well, built tolerance quickly. midazolam and a glass of wine have been my lifesavers for the passed 2 years. i take a 15mg and am out cold for 6-8 hours.
