We have something like this in my state ( mi.)_when you register your vehicle every year you get a sticker to put on you license plate. No sticker, you can get pulled over and fined.

What I can't quite figure out is how, in a court, they could prove that you bought the meds unless they have a CC statement. No order I have received, except for one, ever inclused an 'invoice' of any kind. Nothig in writing what so ever. If you used WU then you can claim it was unsolicted mail from a pharmacist who was eager to get your custom.

I remember WAY back in 05 when I lived in Germany, my Dad sent my medication that I had an RX for, from my PCP, and filled and shipped it to me, and those pinheads in customs took it and told me that you couldnt import so much as a damn asprin into the EU.

They gave me 14 days to make a complaint over the decision.

I am now wondering if I should try stopping this before it goes to the police.

The one thing I've got going for me is that the first seized package wasn't actually ordered by me, so there isn't even a CC statement for evidence.

I am considering calling the cuaroma department responsible for the decision and telling them this (and just deny everything else). In the hopes that I can persuade them not to contact the police.

The alternative is to just wait it out and see if the police actually fines me over this. It would seem rather excessive of them to do so.

Good/bad idea?

Well, they have my signature for the registered letters. They scoop out the meds and put in a stock letter instead (what a nice surprise that was, btw). So they know I never had the goods in my posession.

That's all the proof they have, really.

This is why I stick to my normal sources even if they are sometime flakey and only deliver 2/3 of the time. At least I know I won't have to sign. I hope nothing becomes of it for your sake.

Wings

i usually sign for everything they give me to sign at the door.
if that person looks like someone from mail/UPS...and has an
envelope with my name on it i sign and then i open it up.
First sign - then open...

so in your country i can send you 6oz. $hit (e.g.)by mail
and they´ll arrest YOU just for signing without any real proof
of using/posession/trading in their hands??

They can produce any proof then by themselves? am i right??

I think if it plays out in court it would come down to what they confiscated. I could be wrong.

how can you confiscate something from someone who does not have
it in his posession? i guess that is the reason for these
guys to force him to a statement/reaction or whatever.

with a statement from wings they would have a "causal"
proof. but........for what all this? just for some Tramadol?

Every country is different. But I would NOT contact anyone. I would throw it away and if contacted play as dumb as possible.

DO NOT bring attention to yourself in any way.

I would also no longer get stuff shipped to your address - however you would accomplish that.

I have never gotten two LL's for the same order. I don't get the police part but I'm sure "wings" is truthful. I'm sure he doesn't want to be fined or have to go to court. I think a charge for Tramadol is not as bad as Oxycontin. EU might be looking to make an example out of someone.

So if he was to call them, that might make them choose him to be the example. No way would calling them, make ANYTHING better. But that's just my opinion, of course.

Or if you are forced to respond then I would tend to go with the following

First of all take a copy of the letters they sent you.

Then

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I received these in the post recently (enclose copy of letters) but am unsure a to what it pertains to. I have never received medication from abroad o I would therefore be grateful, for my own piece of mind, to tell me what evidence you have that led you to believe that I had received medication from overseas. I was also surprised that I had to sign for your first letter and may I also say that I found the envelope it arrived in very odd indeed and not one I would expect from a respectable government department.

I look forward to hearing from you so that this matter, which has me baffled, can be cleared up as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully etc.

Beware....that is what I would do, it does not mean it's a good idea.

Since the poster is still posting...I would say nothing happened but paranoia.
