When I click links on the boards here, occasionally instead of opening the page, a box pops up like I'm downloading something, asking if I want to save the file. Like my browser interprets the page as something to dl instead of some place to go to. It doesn't do this on any other site, and it only does it here every 7 or 8 times I click a page.
I swear, I'm not as computer illiterate as this post makes me sound, I just can't come up with a better way of describing the problem. It is quite annoying, anyone know what's going on?

P.S. I'm using Firefox, if that helps...
Here's an example, I just clicked on this thread to come here and make this post, and instead of opening the thread, I got the "save file" dialog box, which I had to close. I clicked the thread again and it got me here... ridiculous.

I'm hoping some tech-nerds on here might be able to help me. This has never happened on any other site, so I don't think its a browser problem, maybe something in my settings for this site... I've tried changing random things but it still does it. Did it when I tried to get back into this thread actually! Its not a huge deal, just annoying.

Browser settings should help the problem. There are usually settings in IE and Firefox to help manage cookies (only accept per session, ask before accepting, etc,) and pop ups as well.
Links to web pages – when a page (domain name) has expired, it will either give you an error – page can’t be found or take you to the hosting co website – like GoDaddy.
Last – any page that opens and wants to download something is usually virus related.
Best bet is get read up on your browser settings to make it more secure and also look into software suites that will help manage spyware, antivirus (AV) and cookies. I could go on, but at bare minimum, make sure you have good AV and up to date protection on your PC.
