I rec'd a phone call from someone who said they were from customs. He said they had an order from an overseas pharmacy and that customs is cracking down on these orders because they are illegal. I haven't ordered anything from overseas for quite a while now. I told him there must be some mistake. He said he would check into it further and call me back. I tried to call the number back from my caller ID and it went straight to an answering service. Any thoughts? The number was 240.324.3363

Sounds like a BS call to me. I bet the he calls back later and demands that you pay a 'fine' via Western Union to someone in the Dominican Republic or a Central American locale, and the matter will go away.
If your call back went straight to an answering service, that sounds most likely what it is. I highly doubt that U.S. Customs would have an answering service answering their calls.
Dis the agent give their name? That is something that they are required to do when identifying themselves as a federal agent.
I wouldn't worry about it a bit. Sounds like a scam attempting to extort money from you. There was another thread like this a couple of days back.
Wait till he calls back - 1-1 odds he will ask that you Western Union them a 'fine' and everything will go away.
That is when you can pounce and say that you called U.S. Customs and they have no record of agent so-and so. My guess is at that point you'll get cursed out and then hung up on or just hung up on.

We are in desperate times, people that scam are scamming in more creative ways, not that this was all that creative. We have seen in last few weeks scams unfold right before our eyes, this is the perfect breeding ground for desperate people. Both who need meds and the scammers that want the money
Bottom line, try not to worry, next time they call mess with them. Tell them you contacted LE and the line is tapped.
